Since free agency is only five days away, let's take a look at the current New York Jet's roster. It seems that general manager John Idzik will have his hands full trying to rebuild this team. Unless a miracle occurs, expect the team to produce it's second losing season in a row, under head coach Rex Ryan. Will Idzik be aggressive in free agency or will he be conservative? With just around eight million under the cap(as of today), Idzik may have to nickle and dime his way to filling this roster. In part one of the two part series, we will examine the offense.

A precursor to the Darrelle Revis trade?

Well we already knew the Revis trade talk was heating up but now it's REALLY heated up. New reports are surfacing that two new teams have thrown their hat into the chase for the undisputed best CB in NFL and one of those teams are "America's Team"...

When looking at the Avalanche\'s roster, it is hard to believe that they are again sitting outside the 8th and final playoff spot in the NHL\'s Western Conference at the midway point of a season. Many excuses could be made for the Avalanche this season. The Ryan O\'Reilly contract situation or injuries to key players like Gabriel Landeskog and Erik Johnson (who have missed a combined 20 games already in this short season) hold some validity. However, there is one thing that sticks out; which is the 2-6-3 road record of the Colorado Avalanche.   If you can\'t win on the road in the NHL, like all other sports, you are destined for disaster.

The Miami Heat (44-14) are reigning supreme over a fairly weak Eastern Conference this season, and most believe that they have an easy path to the 2013 NBA Finals.  However, there are a few teams (New York, Boston, Indiana) in the East that could give The Big Three a run for their money when the Playoffs roll around. Here's my take on why the Pacers have the best shot at taking down Erik Spoelstra's squad in May.

After a wild first night in the Big South teams in five more conferences begin their quests for glory. The Atlantic Sun kicks off at 2:30 with North Florida facing Florida Gulf Coast. The others conferences starting play are the Northeast Conference, Ohio Valley Conference, Patriot League, and West Coast Conference.

I don’t think there is a fan base in the NHL that doesn’t see realignment as a positive for the NHL. Besides cultivating regional rivalries and stimulating down economies for struggling markets, it will provide the opportunity to add new franchises. Under the current proposal the Eastern Conference would add Detroit and Columbus giving it 17 teams and leaving the Western Conference with 15 teams and a possibility of expanding by 2 teams through the addition. The NHL has been taught tough lessons about hockey markets with the failure of Atlanta and the struggles of Columbus. With Phoenix in flux at this point without a completed ownership deal it could take moving the Coyotes to be completed before 2 expansion franchises become reality. A guiding light though for relocation and expansion will be what brought the Jets back to Winnipeg. So assuming Phoenix is identified as a market incapable of sustaining an NHL team that would create a need to identify and create franchises in 3 markets all located in the western portion of North America.

Anderson "The Spider" Silva will be back in action at UFC 162, but his opponent is not who many fight fans were hoping to hear.

The New Jersey Devils have quickly gone from being one of the top teams in the NHL to middle of the pack and it seems to be getting worse.  What has gone wrong for the Devils and what can they do to fix it?

The Dallas Cowboys have several holes to fill this off-season if they plan on competing in the NFC next year. Here is a list of the names that should be at the top of the Cowboys Draft Board.

The talk about Darrelle Revis being traded keeps gaining momentum as we get closer to NFL teams opening up business for the upcoming FA season, and the Jets are now in "Serious" talks with 4 teams who are willing to trade for the #1 Cornerback in the league (When healthy) so which team is actually in the lead? Lets break it down...

Every year the first overall pick is the toughest for a fantasy owner. He or she will likely not have another pick until 20th or 24th overall, so you have to make it count. Many say Miguel Cabrera is the sure pick at number 1 overall selection. But some say Mike Trout should be the pick. A wise man once said in Fantasy Sports, you cannot win your league with your first round selection. But you can most definitely lose it.
