Hopefully after this video by the Timberwolves mascot we can put this internet fad to rest... about damn time!

The “dog days” of the NBA are upon us, and the New York Knicks are finally showing their true colors. In the beginning of the season they got off to a hot start going 12-4 in the first month of the season, prompting conversation from all the major media outlets; whether or not the Knicks can take down The King and his jesters being the Miami Heat.

Conference tournament season is upon us with seven games being played today. The fun starts at noon with Radford and Winthrop going at it in the first of four opening round games in the Big South Tournament in Conway, SC. The Horizon League has three of opening round games also being played before the quarterfinals begin on Friday, March 8th.

This is my first installment of Draft Profile, i will be writing one every day up until the draft. The first player i broke down was E.J Manuel quarterback from Florida State University.

With most NHL teams hitting the halfway mark this week, those trade winds are howling throught the league. Some interesting big name players may be on the block --- So lets dive right into the IBN "Ice Melt Rumors" BOOM!

The New York Giants are in the process of a true overhaul after a disappointing 2012 season. Some old faces have already been shown the door, and some more are sure to be gone before training camp in July. However, this is no rebuilding process because as long as Eli Manning is under center they are looking to win a championship. Assuming the Giants brass and WR Victor Cruz can come to an agreement on a contract, here are the top 5 Free Agents the Giants can realistically target in the offseason to help them get back to the Super Bowl.

No team in all of baseball has been through more nonsense off of the field the past two years than the Boston Red Sox. Their first basemen have transformed from Kevin Youkilis to Adrian Gonzalez to Mike Napoli while their managers have gone from Terry Francona to Bobby Valentine to John Farrell. The pitching staff has been atrocious. The bullpen has been shaky on a good day. Jacoby Ellsbury has spent as many days in Arizona rehabbing as he has in Boston playing. And Boston's franchise player, Dustin Pedroia, seemed to have shrunk in the midst of controversy and losing. After coming in last place in the American League East in 2012, how do the Sox stack up in 2013?

History says the Jets are at one of the best spots to pick in the first round ...

As this is my first mock draft i would like to introduce myself a little. My name is Nick Barlotta and I currently attend Bergen Community College, I follow all sports and all teams but more importantly I am a Jets, Mets, Nets, and Devils Fan. This is my first mock draft instead of reposting I will just update this one, and by tommorow night i will have the 2nd round in.

After an epic week of college basketball the new top 25 should be interesting to see. The player of the year conversation also has accepted a couple new candidates and many people are wondering what teams will get that one seed.

This is my wrap up for the weekend of college basketball, including my top 25, my player of the year list, the four teams that should get one seeds and the first four teams in and the last four out of the tournament.

Here are my NFL draft positional rankings as of 3/5/13

It’s not easy to remain calm about the New York Yankees in 2013, but are all of the worries for the wrong reasons?  Sure, the Blue Jays made a killing in the off-season acquiring Jose Reyes, Josh Johnson, Mark Buehrle, R.A. Dickey and Melky Cabrera but will this lead them to the playoffs in a tough AL East division?  Where is the chemistry between their new additions and Jose Batista and Edwin Encarnacion?  Baseball fans need to remember that Toronto finished with a 73-89 season, and the Yankees are ready to compete for another AL East first place finish.  Oh, and since 1996, the Yankees finished on top of the division an astonishing 13 times.  Not bad, eh Canada?

Yeah, we also need to look out for the Orioles, but I doubt Buck Showalter’s team can put up another 93 win season.  Two years ago, their record was completely flipped, with a record of 69-93.  Baltimore doesn’t even have a number one starting pitcher at this point, so I don’t look at the O’s as a big threat.

Early NBA Action: Heat @ Timberwolves (Heat -10 ' O/U 196.5)

Don't be fooled, this may look like a mismatch on paper but more things go into making this pick.

There once was a time when the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia was packed with thousands of screaming 76ers fans, buzzing in awe at the welcoming ceremony of the cities newest star, Andrew Bynum. That day, August 14th, 2012 was the last day most Sixers fans saw Bynum. The talented 7-footer was acquired by the Sixers in a four team trade last summer, that involved 12 different players plus draft picks.

Will Jim Buss Bury the Treasure his Late Father Discovered?

This is the first mock draft in a series of 4 that will be released as the draft nears.

2013 Fantasy Baseball Hitter Rankings with projected statistics.

The following rankings and statistic projections are based on an average H2H each category league. As you can see Mike Trout's stats do not equal Ryan Braun or Andrew McCutchen', but the fact that in each category, OBP% and hits are taken in account, by which Trout will have the edge.

Auction drafts are trending the last few years, and it seems more and more people are leaning towards them rather than traditional leagues. Drafts are more fun, and it causes everyone to be all-in during every pick, or else it could cost you.
