Let's talk about the best division in this conference in the West. This division is always such an awesome battle to watch throughout the year with Bama, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, A&M all going for it. I guess I can add Arkansas and Miss St in there too because those are the only other teams in the West. In the end it will be Alabama or Auburn at the top of the West. My heart says Auburn but my head says Alabama. The Tide just have such a great defense and running game it will be so hard to stop them. You know Lane Kiffin is going to want to huck it and chuck it with his new QB Jake Coker(we think). The running game will be the key though this season with the load of a running back in Derrick Henry. This man-child stands at 6-3 and 242 pounds.

Get off the tracks when the train is coming.

Get off the tracks when the train is coming.

Kiffin's going to put a feeding bag on this big boy and let him eat this year. The Bama defense is loaded on the front 7 so stopping the run shouldn't be too hard. The big questions on this team are who will catch the ball and who will stop the ball in the air on the other side. Not to worry Tide fans as Nick Saban has recruited top 3 recruiting classes every year, so the talent is there.

Now onto the East division which seems to run through Missouri now a days. Not this year though as honestly I've had enough of Gary Pinkel opening his damn mouth about things he shouldn't worry about...cough, cough Notre Dame. Georgia led by Nick Chubb should be in the race as well but again not winning the East. Old Rocky Mountain Top will have their day this year.

SING IT YA BABY!

SING IT YA BABY!

Butch Jones has built this Tennessee program up the last 2 years and this could be their big breakout. Last year QB Joshua Dobbs stole the show putting up good numbers and that's with him starting the year as he 3rd string. It's his show this year and boy does he have some weapons. In the backfield you have Jalen Hurd and Bama transfer Alvin Kamara. These two should give the Vols a formidable 1-2 punch. Then on the outside, it might be the best receiving core in the whole SEC in Marquez North and Pig Howard. If they aren't the best, well they at least have the best names in the conference as a duo. The o-line might be a problem, but hopefully the youngsters got some good experience last year getting thrown into the fire. The defense is led by the d-line with starters Derek Barnett and Curt Maggitt returning their combined 21 sacks back to campus. They also have some fresh blood in highly touted freshman Kahlil McKenzie on that line. The Vols return 17 starters and Butch Jones has recruited he talent to win in the SEC, now it's time to show up!

SEC Title Game: Bama over Tennessee, not a story book ending for he Vols, but they get back into a major bowl game.

Offensive POY- Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU- Les Miles is going to run him ramped this year. Leo the Lion or should I say Tiger was arguably the best back in the whole county last year. Pro Scouts are already drooling over this kid. The kid has all the tools to be a 40 touch grinder or taking kickoff to the house. He is like the next Booby Myles with the showmanship as well. Let me remind you that he was a freshman last year and wasn't even the starter pulling off that pose.

Defensive POY- Vernon Hargraves, CB, UF- A lot of people will have the uber talented Bama DT A'Shawn Robinson here or any Missouri DE because they apparently grow on trees and smoke them too. Vernon has been shutting down his side of the field ever since he got off the bus to Gainesville. He is a legit #1 shut down corner and it's so much fun to watch. He has decent size at 5-11 and uses his hands like a top corner. He makes it so hard for you to get off the line and then when the ball is in the air forget about it. His ball skills are far and beyond good. He has all the tools to be drafted in the top 10 next year, so expect a big year from the Gators corner.

Breakout Player- Jeremy Johnson, QB, Auburn-

Can JJ takeover for Marshall?

Can JJ takeover for Marshall?

The man to run Gus Malzahn's offense is a lucky man. Johnson takes over for Nick Marshall and is a whole lot better as a passer. The 6-5 QB has a big arm that Gus hasn't had since Cam Newton. The last time Gus had a guy like that their was some pretty heavy hardware included, so you can see why a lot of people are excited to see this kid take the reins. He also can move for a 6-5 240 pound QB, which just makes it even harder for defenses to stop this well oiled machine. Auburn's offense under Gus Malzahn has become like the Germans in soccer.

Freshman of the Year- Kahlil McKenzie, DT, Tennessee- The 5-star recruit will be welcoming the SEC in a big way. The 6-3 340 pound DT was the 2nd best DT in the country and the 6 best player overall in the class of 2015 according to 247Sports.com. He will be helped by the other studs on that line, so he won't have a lot of pressure and can just play his game. Also he will be wearing #1 which is always awesome to see on a kid close to 350 pounds wearing.

Coach of the Year, Butch Jones, Tennessee- If Butchy takes the Vols to the SEC title game there is no doubt he wins coach of the year, enough said.

Hope you enjoyed the SEC Preview, and if you agree or disagree let us know in the comment section below. Next week we will have the Big 10 and the defending champs preview, so stay tuned. College football is almost back baby!!!
