If you're in the hunt, make moves. If you're not, get in the hunt

Sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you. If you read ESPN at all, please read Matthew Berry’s Love/Hate from the last two weeks. He shares a deeply personal story, the ins and outs of his life and the pressures of it all. In the end, this is a game. A game that has become a lifestyle for some. In the end you make the choice on who to start and sit. People who write things like what I am doing right now spend hours a week doing research and making lists for you to look at. I’m sure all of you do some research as well. I offer my advice, take it or leave it, you set the line up.

In this week's story from Berry, he writes a lengthy intro story for his Love/Hate column. Some people love it and some hate it and just want his picks/ranks. He spends hours and hours on his rankings and then pitches ideas to an editor for a story each week, some will love and some will hate. This week, this is all I’m writing, mostly because I ran out of time, but also for Berry who sometimes just wants to write in his picks and that’s all.

This year each week I have streamed a DST. I have been top 10 in 4/6 weeks. I pick from teams owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues. This week I am picking the Cowboys. They are going up against a rookie QB making his first start. Dallas has a pretty solid run D and can focus on stopping Carlos Hyde and making C.J. Bethard beat them. Which he very well could do. I’d bet on the Cowboys defense before a third round pick from Iowa making his first start.
