Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers

1:00PM

PIT -3 (-110)

O/U  51 (-107)

Cleveland is 1-7 SU and ATS in its last 8 road games.

Pittsburgh is 11-2 SU in its last 13 division games at home.

Cleveland has lost 16 straight games at Pittsburgh (avg margin: 12.5).

Cleveland News & Notes

The Browns’ depth paid off last week in a 32-23 win over Indianapolis, and they may have to rely on their reserves once again on Sunday. After losing offensive guard Wyatt Teller and safety Ronnie Harrison to injury against the Colts, Cleveland got strong efforts from backups Chris Hubbard and Sheldrick Redwine. Hubbard drew rave reviews from the coaching staff in his debut at guard, while Redwine had a fourth-quarter interception in place of Harrison.

Cleveland also overcame the absence of Pro Bowl running back Nick Chubb as Kareem Hunt contributed 93 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown. Hunt could be a strong fantasy play again this week in the absence of Chubb, especially if quarterback Baker Mayfield is hampered by a rib injury suffered in the fourth quarter against Indy. X-rays on Mayfield’s ribs were negative and he is expected to play vs the Steelers.

Cleveland has scored at least 30 points in each of its last four games following a season-opening 38-6 loss at Baltimore. However, only one of those four victories came on the road, where the Browns are 1-7 SU and ATS in their last eight.

The total has gone OVER in 5 of Cleveland's last 6 games.

Cleveland are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games.

Cleveland are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games against Pittsburgh.

Cleveland are 3-16-1 SU in their last 20 games against Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh News & Notes

What will Chase Claypool do for an encore? That’s the big question this week in Pittsburgh after the Steelers wideout became the first rookie in NFL history to record three touchdown catches and run for a score in the same game. Claypool’s seven-catch, 110-yard performance against Philadelphia also saw him become the first rookie in Steelers franchise history to score four majors in a game.

Claypool’s breakout performance got the Pittsburgh defense off the hook after the Steelers saw a 17-point lead trimmed to just two points midway through the fourth quarter. Pittsburgh surrendered a 74-yard touchdown run, extended a Philadelphia drive with a roughing-the-passer penalty on third down and allowed the Eagles to convert 10 of 14 third-down attempts.

“Some of it was self-inflicted by us in penalties and missed tackles and so forth,” coach Mike Tomlin told ESPN after Pittsburgh’s wild 38-29 win.

If history is any guide, we should expect a bounce-back effort from the Pittsburgh defense. The Steelers have gone UNDER the total in eight of their last 11 games overall, six of their last eight games vs division opponents and 15 of their last 21 games in conference play.

The total has gone OVER in 4 of Pittsburgh's last 5 games.

Pittsburgh are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 12 of Pittsburgh's last 18 games against Cleveland.

Pittsburgh are 7-1 SU in their last 8 games at home.

Green Bay Packers @ Tampa bay Buccaneers

4:25PM

GB -1 (-110)

O/U 55 (-109)

Green Bay is 7-2 ATS in its last 9 games.

Tampa Bay is 2-7 ATS in its last 9 after an ATS loss.

Green Bay is 2-7 SU in its last 9 road games vs Tampa Bay.

Green Bay News & Notes

The Packers took plenty of heat for not selecting a wide receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft – but that hasn’t had any impact on the Rodgers-led offense, which is averaging a robust 38 points through the first four games. Not surprisingly, Rodgers has been the catalyst, averaging nearly 295 passing yards per game with 13 touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Owning a top-five rush attack (150.8 yards per game) isn’t too shabby, either, although the way the Packers employ their running backs makes it difficult to trust the OVER on any yardage props. Aaron Jones (65 carries, 374 yards, four TDs) has been elite but has seen between 15 and 18 carries in all four games, with Jamaal Williams getting six to eight attempts per game to date.

Green Bay are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games.

The total has gone OVER in 5 of Green Bay's last 6 games.

Green Bay are 10-1 SU in their last 11 games.

Green Bay are 5-1 SU in their last 6 games on the road.

Tampa News & Notes

Sunday represents a get-right opportunity for Brady, who looked mediocre in last week’s loss to the Chicago Bears (253 passing yards, one TD) and actually lost track of the number of downs remaining on the Buccaneers’ potential game-winning drive. He has been strong in two games at Raymond James Stadium this season, averaging 293 yards with six touchdowns and two INTs.

A strong showing from Brady will certainly help the Bucs’ chances of victory, but the run game might also play a significant role. The Buccaneers rank in the bottom quarter in the league in rushing yards per contest (99.4), but find themselves in a plus matchup against a Green Bay run defense allowing opponents to rack up an average of 4.8 yards per attempt.

Tampa Bay are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games.

The total has gone OVER in 15 of Tampa Bay's last 19 games.

The total has gone OVER in 4 of Tampa Bay's last 5 games against Green Bay.

The total has gone OVER in 7 of Tampa Bay's last 8 games at home.

Los Angeles Rams @ San Francisco 49ers

8:20PM

LAR -3 (-112)

O/U 51.5 (-110)

The Rams are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 road games.

The 49ers are 1-7-1 ATS in their last 9 divisional home games.

The UNDER is 5-2 in the Rams’ last 7 road games vs the 49ers.

Los Angeles News & Notes

The Rams are off to a sensational start largely on the back of their defense, which has held four of their first five opponents below 20 points. Their 18.0 points per game allowed is third best in the NFL, and the Rams also allow the second-fewest passing yards (197.0) and the 10th-fewest rushing yards (106.4). Their 20 sacks are tied for the league lead with Pittsburgh.

The offense has been a pleasant surprise through five games, ranking seventh in the NFL in rushing yards (139.6) and 13th in passing yardage (264.0). If you’re looking for a daily fantasy option to trust, Robert Woods might be your guy: he has 23 catches for 300 yards and two touchdowns through five games, with both of those scores coming over his previous three outings.

LA Rams are 5-1 SU in their last 6 games.

LA Rams are 3-6 ATS in their last 9 games against San Francisco.

LA Rams are 3-6 SU in their last 9 games against San Francisco.

The total has gone OVER in 4 of LA Rams' last 5 games on the road.

San Francisco News & Notes

The 49ers have fared well in pass defense this season despite key injuries but could be in trouble Sunday with star DB Richard Sherman expected to be out another week after suffering a setback in his return from a calf injury. His continued absence leaves San Francisco vulnerable against a Rams offense that produced 300 yards through the air in last week’s win over Washington.

The bigger concern is on offense, where the 49ers managed just 37 total points against the Eagles and Dolphins – against whom they were favored by a whopping 8.5 points in both games. It got so bad last week that the 49ers benched starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (7-for-17, 77 yards, 2 INTs) in favor of CJ Beathard (9-for-18, 94 yards, 1 TD).

San Francisco are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games.

San Francisco are 2-4 SU in their last 6 games.

The total has gone OVER in 5 of San Francisco's last 7 games against LA Rams.

San Francisco are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games at home.
