New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins

1:00 PM

MIA -1.5 (-108)

O/U  41 (-108)

The UNDER is 5-0 in New England’s last 5 games.

Miami is 7-2 SU and 8-1 ATS in its last 9 games.

The home team is 13-3 SU and ATS in the last 16 meetings.

New England News & Notes

Cam Newton will remain the Patriots’ starting quarterback despite being benched in the fourth quarter of last week’s 24-3 loss to the Rams. Newton threw for just 119 yards in that contest, was sacked a season-high four times and threw an interception deep in Rams territory that LA returned for a back-breaking touchdown.

The former MVP has been held to 119 passing yards or less in four of his last five games and has not thrown more than one TD pass in 15 straight games, the NFL’s longest streak in eight years.

At 6-7, New England now needs to win out and get some help in order to avoid missing the playoffs for the first time since 2008. The Patriots will have three extra days to prepare for this contest, however, after playing in the Thursday nighter last week.

Bill Belichick’s team has been a cash cow for years when playing with at least eight days’ rest, going 21-4 SU and 18-7 ATS in its last 25 in that situation.

The total has gone UNDER in 5 of New England's last 5 games.

New England are 4-2 SU in their last 6 games.

New England are 8-4 ATS in their last 12 games against Miami.

New England are 14-6 SU in their last 20 games against Miami.

Miami News & Notes

The Dolphins offense has been pretty conservative since a midseason switch to Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback, but the rookie showed what he’s capable of on Sunday. Down 20 points to Kansas City in the second half, Miami was forced to open up the offense and Tagovailoa produced the first 300-yard passing performance of his career, threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for another score.

Unfortunately for Tagovailoa, he may be without several of his top targets against the Patriots. Wide receiver DeVante Parker (leg) and tight end Mike Gesicki (shoulder) both left last week’s game with injuries, while wideout Jakeem Grant’s status is also uncertain due to a hamstring injury. Parker, Gesicki and Grant are the only Dolphins players with more than 288 receiving yards this season.

The Dolphins earned a backdoor cover for Miami +7 backers last week by kicking a field goal with 21 seconds left, trimming KC’s lead from nine to six points. Miami has now covered five straight games at home and eight of its last nine overall.

The Fish have also covered seven straight home games when hosting teams with a losing record and are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games vs AFC East foes.

Miami are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games.

Miami are 7-2 SU in their last 9 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Miami's last 6 games against New England.

Miami are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games at home.

Kansas City Chiefs @ New Orleans Saints

4:25 PM

KC -3 (-118)

O/U 52.5 (-108)

Kansas City is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games as a favorite.

New Orleans is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games.

The UNDER is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings.

Kansas City News & Notes

No matter what gets thrown at them, the Chiefs continue to find a way to win games. Kansas City overcame an early 10-0 deficit and four turnovers to beat Miami 33-27 last week, led by 393 passing yards from Patrick Mahomes and 136 receiving yards from tight end Travis Kelce. Tyreek Hill also found the end zone for the 11th time in 13 games, rushing for a 32-yard score and adding a 44-yard TD catch.

Unfortunately for Kansas City point spread backers, they haven’t been able to cash in lately on the Chiefs’ eight-game winning streak. KC has failed to cover the spread in any of its last five victories, including Sunday when Miami kicked a late field goal to get inside the 7-point spread.

Sunday will be a tough test for Kansas City’s run defense, which ranks 26th in the NFL at 128.4 yards allowed per game. New Orleans enters action averaging 137.3 yards per game on the ground and has outrushed its opponents by more than 80 yards per game with Taysom Hill at QB. The Chiefs allowed an average of 7.5 yards per carry when they faced Baltimore’s league-leading rushing attack earlier this season.

Kansas City are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games.

Kansas City are 8-0 SU in their last 8 games.

Kansas City are 4-2 SU in their last 6 games against New Orleans.

Kansas City are 9-0 SU in their last 9 games on the road.

New Orleans News & Notes

As of Monday, Drew Brees was still considered questionable to return from a rib and lung injury that has forced him to miss the Saints’ last four games. If he can’t suit up, Hill would likely get the call again after throwing for a career-high 291 yards and two touchdowns against the Eagles. However, Hill also turned the ball over twice, including his fifth lost fumble of the season.

The Saints are in a prime bounce-back spot following last week’s 24-21 loss in Philadelphia that snapped their nine-game winning streak. New Orleans trailed 17-0 at halftime and saw an even longer streak come to an end, allowing an opposing player to run for more than 100 yards in a game. In fact, Philly’s Miles Sanders and Jalen Hurts both cracked the century mark on the ground against the Saints defense, which gave up 246 rushing yards on the day.

New Orleans has responded well following losses over the years under head coach Sean Payton, going 9-1 SU in their last 10 when coming off a defeat. The Saints are also 12-3 ATS as an underdog in their last 15 games following a loss.

New Orleans are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 5 of New Orleans' last 6 games.

New Orleans are 9-1 SU in their last 10 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 4 of New Orleans' last 5 games against Kansas City.

Cleveland Browns vs New York Giants

8:20 PM

CLE -6.5 (-103)

O/U 44 (-113)

Cleveland is 2-10 ATS in its last 12 road games.

New York is 5-2 ATS over its last 7 games.

The OVER is 8-4 in Cleveland’s last 12 games.

Cleveland News & Notes

Cleveland was on the losing end of one of the season’s most exciting games on Monday night as they lost to the Baltimore Ravens 47-42. Baker Mayfield had 343 passing yards and two passing touchdowns as well as 23 rushing yards and a rushing score in the losing effort.

The Browns have now scored over 40 points in each of their last two games, but they’ve also given up an average of 41 points per game over that stretch.

Despite their strong straight-up record of 9-4, the Browns have not been a strong bet against the spread this season with an ATS record of 5-8. A safety in Monday night’s game as time expired delivered another tough-luck loss to Cleveland backers as the Browns fell to 2-6 ATS over their last eight games.

Cleveland are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games.

The total has gone OVER in 8 of Cleveland's last 12 games.

Cleveland are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games.

Cleveland are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against NY Giants.

New York News & Notes

Daniel Jones returned to action from his hamstring injury earlier than expected last Sunday, but his return was spoiled in a 26-7 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Jones completed only 11 of his 21 pass attempts for 127 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. The Giants were 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS before Sunday’s loss as 3-point underdogs.

Jones is listed as questionable with a lower leg injury for this Sunday’s game against Cleveland and will be replaced by Colt McCoy if he is unable to go. McCoy and the defense led the Giants to a 17-12 road win over the Seattle Seahawks as 11-point underdogs on December 6.

New York enters Sunday night’s matchup one game behind the Washington Football Team in the NFC East but holds the head-to-head tiebreaker after sweeping Washington in the regular-season series.

NY Giants are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 4 of NY Giants' last 5 games.

NY Giants are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games.

NY Giants are 4-12 ATS in their last 16 games at home.
