Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants

1:00 PM

DAL -2 (-108)

O/U  44.5 (-103)

The OVER is 5-1 in Dallas’s last 6 games.

The UNDER is 6-0 in New York’s last 6 games.

The Giants are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 divisional home games.

Dallas News & Notes

A month ago, who would have thought the Cowboys would still have an opportunity to win the NFC East after dropping six of seven games, including two losses to Washington that could very well decide the division race. Yet here they are, fighting for a chance at the postseason despite losing starting quarterback Dak Prescott back in Week 5 when these teams last met.

Andy Dalton was wise to sign with Dallas and has played about as well as anyone could expect, considering the circumstances. However, the biggest issue for the Cowboys this year remains the defense, and that was a big problem in the first meeting as well even though they still won 37-34 as a 7.5-point home favorite.

Dallas are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games.

The total has gone OVER in 5 of Dallas' last 6 games.

Dallas are 4-2 SU in their last 6 games.

Dallas are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games against NY Giants.

New York News & Notes

Most fans and backers of the Giants this season have learned to expect the unexpected, so why would Week 17 be any different? Much like their opponent, they are lucky to be in this situation, and both teams should probably send a thank-you card to former Washington quarterback Dwayne Haskins for helping them get this chance.

New York was in the early part of a 6-1 ATS run when the team visited Dallas on October 11. That loss put the Giants at 0-5 before they won five of seven to give their fans some hope. Their current three-game skid has not been pretty, with the team averaging less than nine points per game and getting outscored by 47 overall during that stretch. Will that change?

NY Giants are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 6 of NY Giants' last 6 games.

NY Giants are 5-11 SU in their last 16 games.

The total has gone OVER in 4 of NY Giants' last 5 games against Dallas.

Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears

4:25 PM

GB -4 (-113)

O/U 49.5 (-109)

The Bears are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 divisional games.

The Packers are 8-2 ATS in their past 10 road games vs the Bears.

The UNDER is 14-4 in Chicago’s last 18 home games.

Green Bay News & Notes

The Packers are the toast of the NFC right now, playing about as well as they possibly can without having much competition in their conference. They have already beaten the New Orleans Saints, and the NFL’s best defensive team (the Los Angeles Rams) might not even make the playoffs, so things are definitely looking up in Green Bay.

It appears to be Super Bowl or bust, though, for future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has taken over as the odds-on favorite to win his third career NFL MVP award. However, it is worth noting that no MVP has won the Super Bowl in the same year since Kurt Warner did it with the Rams when they played in St. Louis two decades ago.

Regardless, Rodgers has dominated Chicago like no other besides his predecessor Brett Favre, and he always seems to be at his best when he has the chance to stick it to his division rival.

Green Bay are 5-0 SU in their last 5 games.

Green Bay are 15-5 ATS in their last 20 games against Chicago.

Green Bay are 8-1 SU in their last 9 games against Chicago.

Green Bay are 8-3 SU in their last 11 games on the road.

Chicago News & Notes

The Bears look like they are having fun again after their season appeared to be over following a stunning 34-30 loss to the Detroit Lions as 3-point home favorites four weeks ago. Two of their three wins during their current hot streak have come as underdogs, and the OVER is also on a 4-1 run in their past five.

While Chicago’s defense has not played like it can lately, the unit has shown glimpses against bad teams like the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars. The bad news is that the Bears have surrendered an average of 34 points in their last three divisional games, including a 41-25 loss at Green Bay in Week 12. All three of those games finished OVER the total too.

The total has gone OVER in 4 of Chicago's last 5 games.

Chicago are 3-6 SU in their last 9 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 14 of Chicago's last 18 games at home.

Chicago are 1-9 SU in their last 10 games when playing at home against Green Bay.

Washington Football Team @ Philadelphia Eagles

8:20 PM

WAS -3.5 (-115)

O/U 44 (-108)

Washington is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games vs divisional opponents.

The UNDER is 11-3 in Philadelphia’s last 14 home games.

Washington is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games.

Washington News & Notes

What a disappointment Haskins was for Washington in less than two seasons. The former first-round draft pick was released on Monday after failing yet again to come through for his team. Haskins was absolutely brutal despite posting eerily similar numbers to Smith, as both played seven games.

The big difference obviously is that Smith is a winner and Haskins is not. Washington has gone 10-5 straight up when Smith starts and 6-26 when he does not, dating back to his arrival in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2018.

In other words, it would not be wise to back this team unless you know Smith will start. Washington is also hoping to get wide receiver Terry McLaurin back from an ankle injury.

Washington are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Washington's last 6 games.

Washington are 6-13 SU in their last 19 games.

Washington are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games against Philadelphia.

Philadelphia News & Notes

Offensively, the Eagles have looked better with rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts starting, even though they have won only one game with him. In road losses to the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys the past two weeks, Hurts has averaged 340 passing yards and 66 rushing yards, accounting for five touchdowns and two interceptions.

To put that in perspective, former starter Carson Wentz threw for more than 270 yards just once in his 12 games this season. The Hurts vs Wentz debate could continue up until the 2021 season kicks off, but the former will have at least one more shot to prove himself as 2020 comes to a close, while the latter is left to ponder what his future holds.

Philadelphia are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Philadelphia's last 9 games.

Philadelphia are 1-6 SU in their last 7 games.

The total has gone OVER in 7 of Philadelphia's last 10 games against Washington.
