Indianapolis Colts @ Buffalo Bills

1:00 PM

BUF -6.5 (-107)

O/U  51 (-110)

Indianapolis is 2-7 SU and ATS in its last 9 January road games.

Buffalo is 8-0 ATS in its last 8 games.

The home team is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

Indianapolis News & Notes

A month ago, who would have thought the Cowboys would still have an opportunity to win the NFC East after dropping six of seven games, including two losses to Washington that could very well decide the division race. Yet here they are, fighting for a chance at the postseason despite losing starting quarterback Dak Prescott back in Week 5 when these teams last met.

Andy Dalton was wise to sign with Dallas and has played about as well as anyone could expect, considering the circumstances. However, the biggest issue for the Cowboys this year remains the defense, and that was a big problem in the first meeting as well even though they still won 37-34 as a 7.5-point home favorite.

Indianapolis are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games.

The total has gone OVER in 8 of Indianapolis' last 12 games.

Indianapolis are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games.

Indianapolis are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games against Buffalo.

Buffalo News & Notes

Buffalo couldn’t be any hotter going into the playoffs, winning its last six games by an average of 19.8 points. Josh Allen has thrown 15 touchdown passes in his last five outings for the Bills, who have covered eight straight and would be riding a 10-game winning streak if not for an improbable loss on a Hail Mary on November 15 in Arizona.

The Bills could be without a big piece of their offense Saturday as slot receiver Cole Beasley may miss the game with a knee injury that sidelined him for last week’s contest against Miami. Beasley was on pace for more than 1,000 yards before the injury and set a career high in receptions this season.

Buffalo managed just fine without Beasley against the Dolphins, however, racking up a season-high 56 points to lock up the No. 2 seed in the AFC. Isaiah McKenzie replaced Beasley in the lineup and caught six balls for 65 yards and two first-half touchdowns, adding an 84-yard punt return score in the opening 30 minutes.

Stefon Diggs added 76 receiving yards to finish the year with a league-leading 1,535, Gabriel Davis had two catches for 107 yards and John Brown returned from an injury to contribute 72 yards and a touchdown.

Buffalo are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games.

The total has gone OVER in 11 of Buffalo's last 16 games.

Buffalo are 6-0 SU in their last 6 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 7 of Buffalo's last 8 games against Indianapolis.

Los Angeles Rams @ Seattle Seahawks

4:25 PM

SEA -3 (-108)

O/U 42 (-108)

The total has gone UNDER in 11 of LA’s last 13 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 7 of Seattle’s last 8 games.

LA is 4-10 ATS in its last 14 road games against Seattle.

Los Angeles News & Notes

Two years after riding an explosive offense to a Super Bowl appearance, the Rams now hang their hat on defense. LA led the league in both total defense and points allowed this season, going UNDER the total in 12 of its 16 games.

In the Rams’ playoff-clinching 18-7 win over the Cardinals on Sunday, LA’s defense allowed just 214 total yards, recorded four sacks, returned an interception 84 yards for a touchdown and scored a safety.

Offensively, things aren’t as pretty these days for the Rams, who may be without quarterback Jared Goff for the second straight game due to a thumb injury. John Wolford threw an interception on his first career pass Sunday, setting up the Cardinals’ lone touchdown, although he settled down after that to finish the game with 231 passing yards.

Wolford also added 56 yards rushing, providing LA with quarterback mobility it hasn’t had with Goff under center. The rest of the Rams’ usually reliable rushing attack struggled Sunday, however, as Cam Akers and Malcolm Brown combined for just 54 yards on 24 carries.

LA is likely without leading runner Darrell Henderson for a few more weeks as he nurses a high ankle sprain, although the Rams hope to get top receiver Cooper Kupp back from the reserve/COVID-19 list this week.

The total has gone UNDER in 11 of LA Rams' last 13 games.

LA Rams are 5-2 SU in their last 7 games against Seattle.

The total has gone UNDER in 4 of LA Rams' last 6 games on the road.

LA Rams are 3-13 SU in their last 16 games when playing on the road against Seattle.

Seattle News & Notes

Like the Rams, Seattle’s biggest strength entering the postseason comes on the defensive side of the football. Not many would have expected that midway through the year, when the Seahawks offense led the NFL with 34 points per game while the defense was consistently getting lit up.

But since a 44-36 loss at Buffalo in early November, Seattle has not allowed more than 23 points in eight straight games, going 7-1 to the UNDER in that span. In fact, Seattle would have gone UNDER in eight straight were it not for the Seahawks and 49ers combining to score 21 points in the final 2:20 of Seattle’s 26-23 win last week.

The Seahawks trailed 9-6 going into the fourth quarter before coming alive with three touchdowns, one of them set up by a strip-sack deep in Niners territory. Seattle has scored more than 28 points just once in its last eight games, a 40-3 blowout of the hapless Jets, and QB Russell Wilson is averaging less than 185 passing yards per game over his last four.

The Seahawks’ biggest injury concern this week is Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams, who left the San Francisco game midway through the fourth quarter with a left shoulder injury. Adams led the Seahawks this season with 9.5 sacks, the most by a defensive back since the NFL began tracking sacks as an official stat nearly 40 years ago.

Seattle are 4-8 ATS in their last 12 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 7 of Seattle's last 8 games.

Seattle are 6-1 SU in their last 7 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 12 of Seattle's last 18 games against LA Rams.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Washington Football Team

8:20 PM

TB -8 (-110)

O/U 44.5 (-109)

The Buccaneers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games as road favorites.

Washington is 4-16 SU in its last 20 games at home.

The UNDER is 7-1 in Washington’s last 8 games as a playoff underdog.

Tampa Bay News & Notes

It wasn’t always a smooth ride, but the Buccaneers wound up doing what most expected they would and racked up 11 wins to comfortably reach the postseason for the first time since 2007. And Tampa Bay appears to have caught fire at the perfect time, riding a four-game winning streak into the weekend with three of those victories coming by double digits.

So surely there must be plenty of daily fantasy value on a team that averaged better than 30 points per game, yes? Don’t be so sure. Washington has limited opponents to 20 or fewer points in seven consecutive games and boasts the league’s No. 2 passing defense at just 191.8 yards against per game. Tampa Bay players are generally priced up in DFS and are worth a fade.

Tampa Bay are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games.

Tampa Bay are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games.

Tampa Bay are 2-4 SU in their last 6 games against Washington.

Tampa Bay are 5-0 SU in their last 5 games on the road.

Washington News & Notes

Washington shocked the world by capturing the NFC East title in what can only be characterized as one of the worst showings by a single division in the history of the league. Still, the team is full value for its postseason berth after finishing with victories in five of its final seven regular-season games, with four of those wins coming away from FedExField.

The major dilemma this weekend: scoring enough points to remain competitive. Washington finished the 2020 season ranked 25th in passing yardage (216.6) and 26th in rushing (100.7) – and you can expect standout running back Antonio Gibson to have all sorts of problems against a Tampa Bay run defense that allowed a league-low 80.6 yards per game.

Washington are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Washington's last 5 games.

Washington are 5-2 SU in their last 7 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Washington's last 7 games against Tampa Bay.
