History says the Jets are at one of the best spots to pick in the first round ...

Looking back at the history of the number 9 overall pick in the NFL

2012: Luke Kuelchy

lost in the hype of the Quarterbacks (russell wilson, andrew luck, robert griffin) last year Luke Kuelchy put together a season for the ages as rookie. 164 tackles, 1 sack,  2 int, 8 passes defended, and 2 fumble recoverys. the dude was an absolute beast and always around the ball and great in pass coverage. He won defensive rookie in the year.

2011: Tyron Smith

as a rookie tyron smith came into the dallas cowboys locker room and started immeadeatly As a right tackle. eventually moved over to left tackle and did a pretty good job. was ranked 17th according to bleacher report and only has room improve. Hes a great run blocker and getting better in pass protection

2010: Cj Spiller

a very underused back in buffalo due to fred jacksons presence Spiller put together a breakout 2012 with 1244 rushing yards, 6tds , 43 rec for 456 yds and an additional 2 tds.

2009: Bj Raji

Besides becoming known for his great dancing ability Bj raji is a great run stuffing Dt for the packers who occasionally collapses the pocket and gives you some pass pressure.

2008: Keith Rivers

Keith now playing with giants is the only one on the list who has underwhelmed. he has been haunted with injuries throughout his career. when healthy Rivers is actually a productive player in run defense and is adequate in coverage
